RoFreeSBIE 1.2 USER_GUIDE

 

Introduction.


Thanks for choosing RoFreeSBIE. This quick guide contains an introduction
to RoFreeSBIE and detailed info about the installation process.

RoFreeSBIE is a Live CD or Live DVD based on FreeBSD.

A Live CD/DVD is an operating system on CD/DVD that can be booted without
using the Hard Drive. When you finished the session, after ejecting the CD/DVD.
and rebooting the computer, the system returns to its previous state.

FreeBSD is an advanced UNIX-like free operating system. It is derived from BSD,
the version of UNIX developed at the Berkeley University of California.

 

Preparations before Starting.


1 . Systems requirements.

To run RofreeSBIE in your computer, you need the next requirements:

  • A copy of RoFreeSBIE on DVD or CD.
  • A computer with an AMD or Pentium processor (minimum 300Mhz).
  • 256 of memory RAM. CD or DVD drive.


2. How to get a RofreeSBIE copy.


Download the RofreeSBIE ISO from the website and burn it yourself.
Burning an ISO image is different from any other CD.
An ISO file is a binary image copied bit to bit on CD ROM.
