RoFreeSBIE the Live DVD or CD based on FreeBSD Operating System

How to start RoFreeSBIE
To run RoFreeSBIE, insert a copy into your CD or DVD drive.
Then,
boot the CD/DVD.
1. Booting the FreeBSD Kernel
It will only take a few seconds, depending of your PC.
After finished, you'll see the RoFreeSBIE
welcome message on

2. BOOT MENU
The classic FreeBSD
boot screen will appear with different choices.
WELCOME to RoFreeSBIE!
- Boot RoFreeSBIE (Default)
- Boot RoFreeSBIE with ACPI disabled
- Boot RoFreeSBIE in Safe Mode
- Boot RoFreeSBIE in single user Mode
- Boot RoFreeSBIE with verbose logging
- Escape to loader prompt
- Boot RoFreeSBIE with USB keyboard
- Reboot
Using RoFreeSBIE BOOT Menu.
Use
KEY numbers from
1 to
8 to select any option.
The
SPACE key pause the timer if needed.
Press
ENTER to select Boot RoFreeSBIE.
Note:
After 10 seconds, if you don't choose any option,
the system will start RoFreeSBIE .
If you are not sure, just press ENTER and pass to the next screen.
3. Login root at prompt:
This is a proper UNIX ritual. At one point, a
blue message will be shown.
Type
root as it says and press
ENTER.
4. Live CD initial Configuration
Specific configurations are shown in this menu.
Optional you can save all the configurations made.

L Choose
keyboard Layout
A Add a RoFreeSBIE
user
C Change root password
E Enable
graphical Login manager ( for next time)
D Disable graphical Login manager ( for next time)
N Enable
Nvidia drivers
K Disable Nvidia drivers
V Enable
DRI (unsafe videocard acceleration is EXPERIMENTAL!)
P Disable DRI (safest way)
Q Quit
Using RoFreeSBIE initial Configuration menu.
The menu is controlled by the
UP/
DOWN arrow Keys.
Another way is to press the letter keys (
L, A, C, D, etc).
When you move
UP or
DOWN, the selected option is highlighted in
blue colour. Select the one needed and press
ENTER .
When configurations are finished, select
QUIT and press
ENTER.
Note:
If you don't know what to do in this Configuration menu
or you want to use it later, select QUIT and press ENTER.
5. RoFreeSBIE START MENU
This menu includes two
optional desktops,
KDE or
WindowMaker,
and an
Installation on HHD option using
bsdinstaler.
Advanced users will find useful the optional
Midnight Commander.

M Midnight Commander in text or Graphic Mode
Q Quit
Note:
KDE desktop is selected by default. If you are not sure,
press ENTER. RoFreeSBIE will start on KDE.
